From airspace awareness to airspace security: integrated counter-UAS solutions gain momentum
The rapid growth of commercial drone activity is driving the convergence of airspace management and security. By combining operational UTM services with Counter-UAS intelligence, ANRA Technologies provides organizations with enhanced situational awareness, helping them distinguish legitimate operations from potential threats while improving coordination across congested low-altitude airspace.
ANRA advances integrated C-UAS capabilities as FEMA opens $250M grant program
Protecting airports, critical infrastructure, major public gatherings and other sensitive sites requires far more than standalone drone detection capabilities. Security operators must be able to differentiate authorized drone flights from unidentified activity while integrating data from multiple sources to maintain a comprehensive operational picture.
ANRA Technologies addresses this challenge through its Single Integrated Operating Picture (SIOP) software and Tactical Airspace and C-UAS Operations (TACO) system. By combining UTM data, sensor inputs and operational information into a unified airspace view, the solutions enhance situational awareness and support faster, more informed decision-making. Both technologies have progressed from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 to TRL 7, backed by interoperability evaluations conducted through NATO exercises and U.S. Army initiatives.
As FEMA allocates $250 million under its FY2027 Counter-UAS Grant Program, ANRA is actively pursuing partnerships with U.S. sensor manufacturers, defense and homeland security integrators, government agencies and critical infrastructure operators to support demonstrations, system integration efforts and collaborative deployment opportunities.
Introducing ANRA VISTA: shared airspace awareness made accessible
As drone delivery services, Drone as First Responder programs and enterprise drone operations continue to expand, public safety agencies and infrastructure operators require reliable situational awareness of nearby aerial activity. ANRA VISTA (Visual Interface for Shared Traffic Awareness) provides authorized users with real-time visibility into participating drone operations without the complexity of managing a full UTM platform.
Designed to support collaboration between public safety organizations, emergency responders and enterprise stakeholders, VISTA extends the benefits of operational UTM data to users who need airspace awareness rather than flight management capabilities. Organizations interested in enhancing operational visibility are encouraged to contact ANRA for a demonstration.
ANRA leads UK demonstration of shared airspace for multiple drone operators
ANRA Technologies has successfully demonstrated the safe integration of multiple drone operators within shared airspace during a UK Civil Aviation Authority-approved trial in Chorley, Lancashire. The demonstration involved Wing, Manna Air Delivery and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service conducting simultaneous BVLOS and VLOS operations within a common Temporary Danger Area, enabled by strategic deconfliction procedures.
The exercise highlighted interoperability between UTM providers, with ANRA supporting Manna and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service while Wing utilized its own traffic management system. The initiative paves the way for permanent shared airspace operations in Chorley, with the potential for wider adoption across the UK.
