Viasat has significantly expanded the capacity of its JetXP in-flight connectivity service across the United States, delivering up to five times more bandwidth for business aviation customers equipped with Honeywell Aerospace JetWave terminals. The enhancement is designed to elevate the passenger experience in the world's largest private aviation market, supporting increasingly data-intensive applications and multi-user connectivity demands.
Initially introduced across the Eastern United States, the capacity upgrade has now been extended nationwide as part of Viasat's ongoing investment in enhancing the JetXP customer experience. The increased bandwidth enables more consistent and reliable performance for demanding applications such as HD video conferencing, content streaming, AI-powered tools, and large file transfers, even when used simultaneously across multiple devices onboard.
The improvement is being delivered through a software update that further optimizes Viasat's global network management capabilities. Existing JetXP customers can access the additional capacity by contacting their service provider, including Collins Aerospace, Gogo, or Honeywell Aerospace, to confirm eligibility and schedule the update.
Claudio D'Amico, Vice President of OEMs, Partners and Fleets, Business Aviation at Viasat commented:"Our customers expect to stay productive and connected in the air, whether conducting a board meeting, streaming entertainment, or transferring large files across multiple devices. As demand for bandwidth continues to grow, we remain committed to investing in JetXP and ensuring our customers receive the consistent, high-quality connectivity experience they rely on today and in the future."
Viasat will highlight JetXP, its flagship business aviation connectivity platform, during NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas. With more than 2,100 aircraft activated worldwide, JetXP unifies the company's legacy Jet ConneX and Viasat Ka-band services under a single global offering, leveraging the full capabilities of Viasat's high-capacity satellite network.
In addition to delivering enhanced performance, JetXP benefits from extensive regulatory approvals in key international markets, including India and China, while providing customers with concierge-level service and round-the-clock support through Viasat's global distribution partners. Company representatives at NBAA-BACE will also discuss the latest capacity enhancements, as well as recently introduced simplified service plans and suggested retail pricing options.
