AMAC Aerospace Group continues to experience strong business momentum, marked by new certifications, contract wins and rising demand across its maintenance, completion and aircraft modification activities. The company is reporting growth across several key business areas, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of integrated aviation services.

Record Year for Bombardier Global Express Heavy Maintenance

AMAC Aerospace's Basel facilities are seeing a growing number of Bombardier aircraft, with maintenance activity on the type increasing by 25% compared with 2025. The company is preparing to undertake its third Bombardier Global Express 8C inspection of the year, marking the first time it has completed three of these major heavy maintenance checks within a single calendar year.

The milestone further strengthens AMAC Aerospace's expertise in servicing the Global family, complementing its expanding portfolio of Bombardier-related refurbishment, modification and pre-purchase inspection (PPI) services. In a highly competitive MRO environment, the increase in customer aircraft arriving in Basel reflects growing confidence in the company's capabilities.

New Medevac Project Secured for Bombardier Challenger

AMAC Aerospace has also secured a new contract for a medevac conversion on a Bombardier Challenger aircraft, scheduled to arrive in early 2027. Given the customer's positive experience with the company, the project may lead to a second aircraft modification program in 2028.

The dual-role medevac configuration continues to attract strong interest among Challenger operators, with additional customers exploring similar solutions. Alongside the medical mission equipment, the aircraft will be fitted with Gogo FDX high-speed inflight connectivity, a feature that remains in high demand across the operator community.

Industry-First Gogo FDX Installation on a Global 5000

Connectivity upgrades remain among the most sought-after modification projects at AMAC Aerospace. Demand for Gogo FDX installations continues to grow, particularly among Airbus corporate jet operators.

The company currently has an ACJ319 undergoing a Gogo FDX installation and has become the first organization worldwide to integrate the system on a Bombardier Global 5000. Additional Gogo FDX projects on narrowbody aircraft are already contracted for the coming months, while further opportunities remain under active discussion.

Sustained Demand for Self-Protection Systems

Aircraft self-protection systems remain an important segment of AMAC Aerospace's modification portfolio. Since 2016, the company has completed installations on nine aircraft, demonstrating a strong track record in this specialized field.

Earlier this year, AMAC Aerospace delivered a self-protection system installation on an ACJ330, while work continues on two Bombardier Challenger aircraft. The company is also seeing continued demand for both new Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and the implementation of existing certified solutions.

Growing Interest in Full-Scale Cabin Mockups

Within its completions division, AMAC Aerospace has recorded renewed customer interest in full-scale cabin mockups. Designed and manufactured entirely in-house, these full-scale representations allow customers to physically experience their future cabin environment before finalizing interior decisions.

While advanced digital visualization tools remain widely used, many customers continue to value the ability to evaluate layouts, verify dimensions and assess the overall cabin experience in a realistic setting before moving forward with production.

JCB Aero Expands MRO Capabilities with Boeing Approval

In August 2026, JCB Aero, the France-based sister company of AMAC Aerospace located in Auch near Toulouse, secured Part 145 Boeing approval, expanding its maintenance capabilities beyond Airbus aircraft.

The certification authorizes both base and line maintenance on Boeing 737 family aircraft, including the -600, -700, -800 and -900 variants. Combined with the Airbus Part 145 approval already held since the launch of the company's MRO activities in 2024, the new authorization represents another significant milestone in the continued expansion of the AMAC Aerospace Group's service portfolio.
