The Board of Directors of Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam S.p.A. has unanimously appointed Giovanni Pascale Langer as Chief Executive Officer, while Paolo Pascale Langer, who has steered the company through decades of growth and international expansion, will assume the role of President. The leadership transition became effective on October 8, 2026.

The appointment marks a significant milestone in Tecnam's history, with the third generation of the Pascale family taking the helm of an aerospace manufacturer whose heritage dates back to 1948. Under Paolo Pascale's leadership, Tecnam has evolved into one of the global leaders in general aviation, delivering more than 8,500 aircraft to customers across over 60 countries worldwide.

Paolo Pascale Langer, President of Tecnam commented: "In the cockpit, when handing over the controls, we say 'You have control'. Today I say it to Giovanni, with confidence and pride. He learned this trade from the ground up and over the years has become a recognized leader by our customers, our partners, and our people, in Italy and around the world. He has the competence, the vision, and the character to keep Tecnam flying with the ambition and determination to go ever further. I will remain by his side."

Born in 1991, Giovanni Pascale Langer began his career at Tecnam on the factory floor, joining the company as an apprentice assembler and gaining hands-on experience across multiple departments. A licensed commercial pilot who earned his qualifications in both the United States and Italy, he brings together a deep understanding of aircraft manufacturing with the practical perspective of someone who flies the aircraft he helps build.

Appointed Managing Director in 2019, Giovanni worked closely alongside Paolo Pascale in steering the company’s strategic direction. He has played a pivotal role in expanding Tecnam’s presence across key international markets, including Australia, the United States, India, and South America, while also overseeing operations at both the Capua headquarters and Tecnam US. His leadership has been instrumental in driving the company’s commercial expansion and sustained revenue growth. In October 2019, he personally piloted the first P2012 Traveller across the Atlantic from Capua to Boston, delivering the inaugural aircraft to the programme’s launch customer.

As Chief Executive Officer, Giovanni Pascale Langer will lead Tecnam into its next phase of development, focused on four strategic priorities: strengthening the company’s global market position, broadening its portfolio of products and services, accelerating digital transformation, and advancing industrial processes. He aims to build on Tecnam’s reputation for reliability while enhancing its commitment to design excellence and craftsmanship, ensuring that every Tecnam aircraft continues to serve as a showcase of Italian innovation and quality on the world stage.

Giovanni Pascale Langer, Chief Executive Officer of Tecnam stated: "Today our history is no longer measured by how we started, but by how far we have come. And the road ahead of us is even more ambitious. We want Tecnam to be the global benchmark in general aviation: the aircraft on which the new generation of pilots trains, the one that connects territories where large carriers do not reach, the one that carries the signature of Italian quality wherever it lands. We have the people, the products, and the credibility to do it. I thank Paolo and the entire Board of Directors for the trust with which they entrust me with the controls: the route is traced."
