Boeing and Lufthansa Technik have extended their long-standing Tailored Parts Package agreement, reinforcing a partnership aimed at enhancing parts availability, simplifying supply chain management, and improving cost predictability for airline customers. The three-year renewal was announced during MRO Europe.
The renewed agreement covers more than 6,500 Boeing part numbers across the manufacturer’s commercial aircraft portfolio, enabling Lufthansa Technik to further strengthen its component support offering for operators worldwide. Through the programme, customers benefit from improved material availability, more efficient procurement processes, and greater planning certainty when managing maintenance and operational requirements.
Under the agreement, Boeing assumes responsibility for supply chain execution and parts provisioning within the defined scope, while Lufthansa Technik leverages the programme to expand its integrated support capabilities. The collaboration provides reliable access to critical components, reduces sourcing complexity, and helps minimise operational disruptions for airlines operating Boeing fleets.
By combining Boeing’s extensive supply chain expertise with Lufthansa Technik’s global maintenance and component support network, the renewed partnership is designed to deliver enhanced efficiency, increased reliability, and long-term value for airline customers navigating an increasingly dynamic operating environment.
William Ampofo, Senior Vice President, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services:“A healthy, stable aviation supply chain depends on experience, capability and reach. This agreement brings those strengths together to help customers plan their parts needs with greater confidence.”
Thomas Boettger, Vice President Corporate Procurement at Lufthansa Technik commented: “Reliable access to material is a key factor in maintaining aircraft availability and operational efficiency. Through this renewed agreement with Boeing, we further strengthen our ability to provide customers worldwide with dependable parts support across all Boeing aircraft platforms. The combination of broad parts coverage and secure supply chain access creates tangible value for airlines in today’s demanding operating environment.”
The renewed agreement further strengthens Lufthansa Technik’s comprehensive component services portfolio, helping airlines worldwide maintain high levels of fleet availability through enhanced parts accessibility, improved procurement efficiency, and greater predictability across their maintenance operations.
